Amaravati is situated on the banks of River Krishna and it is really enjoyable taking a boat shire in the mechanised boats run in the spot. Lot of articles and constructions relating to Budhism were excavated in the recent times in this area. A very good museum is being maintained by the Government for the exhibits and for archeological interest.
Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, is named after its historic site. as mentioned there are many places to visit in Amaravathi and the town is a center of pilgrimage to both Hindus and Buddhists. It has historical, spiritual and mythological significance.
